In probably, August?, last year I had the genius idea to illustrate a number each day in December (until Christmas) as an advent of sorts - it became my "Illustrated Advent". I loved it and wanted to keep it up, but every day was just a little much for me. December was exhausting and honestly, I almost hated it by the end. Could this have been avoided by maybe planning ahead and maybe even creating some of them in advance? I did have like three months to prepare, after all, but of course that's just not how I roll.

The other problem with this project you ask? Coming up with a new Christmas-related idea every day. That wasn't actually a problem, obviously it made me stretch and really get creative. However, every so often I would come up with something that I really liked, and wanted to explore the style again, but I felt like I had to reinvent the wheel every day.

With all of this in mind, I knew I wanted to keep up the practice long term without burning out. So this year, I'm shooting for a number each week and a different style each month.
