Well well well, it has been a while since I showed up in this space. I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed with myself for disappearing for so long, but it has been for all good reasons. Travel, a summer in New York City, lots of client work and the ups and downs of growing a human inside of me! But I'm ready to jump back in and focus on my illustration work.

My husband, Max, LOVES pecan pie and for the life of me I can't understand how anyone likes it. Gross nuts and sugar? No thank you. So when I told him that "most people don't like it", he quickly fired back with an article to prove me wrong, and boy was I wrong! I love food facts, so why not use this as an opportunity to make an illustration? Here you have a pie chart of American's favorite pies. If you're anything like me, some of these might blow your mind!

I recently got an iPad Pro and used it to create these illustrations. I loved it! I'm still figuring out my process, but I loved using it to add texture and to keep the slightly imperfect/hand drawn look that I like to use.
