Time for a little update on my 2016 Week x Week project. In February, I decided to focus on script lettering. I LOVE script! I had a lot of fun playing with color and trying to take each one to the next level with cut outs and dimension. I'd have to say that #6 and #8 are my favorites. I'd love to do some lettering projects in those styles.
March was all about dimension. I took a lettering class on Skillshare called Digital Lettering: Designing 3D Type and Texture by Jeff Rogers and learned a ton of new techniques. It's always amazing to me to see how many different ways there are to do the same thing! I would definitely recommend the class and Skillshare in general. I'm really bad about actually posting my project progress on Skillshare, but it doesn't seem like I'm the only one...
On week 11 I tried really hard to use purple, after my friend Liz pointed out to me that designers apparently hate purple. I'm not even sure if I ended up with purple, or just a purple grey...but in my defense, I use the color purple every day at work for the Phoenix Suns. Give me a break!
