Creative Market Christmas Graphics

I finished my Christmas cards yesterday! And by finished, I mean I finished designing them and sent them to print (I used Moo.com). They aren't supposed to arrive until December 20, but last year they came super early, so I'm hoping the same happens this year. I had a really clear direction for the style; monochromatic & monoline with some half tone textures, but I wasn't sure about the content. Instead of planning ahead, like a smart person, I just started drawing a bunch of icons. Before I knew it, I had a ton, way more than I could use for one card. Enter Creative Market.

Creative Market is like Etsy, but instead of purchasing products, you buy and download graphics, fonts, templates and photos. It's a great resource for anyone, even for other creative types. In fact, I purchased the pictures in this post on Creative Market and then mocked up the stationary with my graphics.

I have been wanting to try selling on Creative Market for a while now and decided this was the perfect opportunity. So now the graphics that I used to make my cards, plus a ton of others, are for sale!

What I learned through posting my first product is that it is a ton of work. It's almost like taking on another social media platform. From what I have read, in order to really get your stuff seen, you have to release a new product each week! So I'm looking at it as an experiment to see if it really returns any rewards. Jury is out. For now, I have some Christmas cards that I'm really excited about (I'll share them when they arrive) and some graphics that I've been playing around with on Instagram!
